  • About Vincenzo

Vincenzo grew up in Middletown, New York where he played soccer, basketball, and baseball. He was recruited to play baseball at Mount Saint Mary College where he was named captain and led the Knights to two playoff appearances during his time there.

Upon graduation, Vincenzo attended Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville where he received a Master’s degree in Sport Psychology. During his time in Illinois, Vincenzo was introduced to faith-based coaching with a nationally ranked club baseball team. “That experience was the driving force that made me want to be a positive role model and mentor to younger athletes,” says Pepe.

After moving back to New York, Vincenzo worked as a baseball coach and tournament director where he was able to be hands-on in the development of athletes and teams. “Once I heard about FCA and saw how God was moving I knew God was calling me into this ministry. FCA is doing some amazing things in other areas of the country and regions of the state, and I am looking to bring that light to the Hudson Valley as a Multi-Area Director.” Vincenzo is passionate about leading coaches to be excellent role models on and off the field, as well as leading them on their journey to spiritual maturity with Christ so they can bring that to their teams and athletes.

“I am extremely excited to see sports utilized as a vehicle to change lives in a tremendous way, and be part of coaches and athletes giving their lives to Jesus Christ.”

Vincenzo lives in Wallkill with his wife, Michelle, and their two daughters. They enjoy making homemade pizza, skiing, and getting outside and fishing whenever they get the chance.

2024 was a year that God SHOULDN'T have picked me for His Ministry. After attending Bootcamp in September, there was no escaping His calling on my life (& I tried multiple times)! Westchester County, NY, where I was raised, is the uncharted territory where He’s positioned me to reap His Harvest!

I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need.”

MEG MICHEL -

PROSPECTIVE STAFF

AREA DIRECTOR

ORANGE COUNTY

mmichel@fca.org

845-325-3629

  • About Meg

Born and raised in the small town of Washingtonville, New York, Meg was introduced to the game of softball at just four years old—and it quickly became a lifelong passion. What began as a simple love for the sport grew into a powerful avenue through which God shaped her character, perseverance, and purpose. Inspired by her father’s career as a third baseman for the Minor League Denver Bears, Meg’s love for the game was nurtured by both her family and a supportive community that encouraged her growth on and off the field.

Meg went on to become a four-year varsity starter in high school, serving as captain her senior year and earning the Coaches Award for her leadership and dedication. As the starting catcher for the Lady Mustangs travel team, her commitment carried her to the collegiate level, where she competed for two years at SUNY Orange (NJCAA DII). She concluded her collegiate career with a .306 batting average and an .991 fielding percentage, ranking 124th in the nation. Afterward, she completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism-Communication with a minor in Leadership at Buffalo State University in 2017.

Though her playing career ended, Meg felt God calling her to stay connected to the game she loves. For over a decade, she has poured into the next generation as a coach—serving in recreational leagues, as an Assistant Coach, and now as Head Coach of the 16U Rapid Fire travel program. She also leads off-season clinics and provides private catching lessons. For Meg, coaching is more than teaching skills; it has become a ministry, giving her the opportunity to mentor athletes in character, confidence, and faith.

In 2022, Meg earned her Master of Arts in Higher and Postsecondary Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. She pursued this degree with a clear calling: to serve student-athletes holistically—helping them grow not only in their sport and academics but also in their walk with Christ. Today, through the ministry of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Meg lives out that mission by sharing the hope of the gospel, building Christ-centered relationships, and encouraging athletes and coaches to compete for a higher purpose.

“My heart is for athletes and coaches to see the bigger picture—that their identity isn’t defined by wins, losses, or statistics, but by who they are in Christ. My greatest joy is walking alongside them, helping them grow in their faith, and making disciples who use their gifts to glorify Him both on the field and beyond,” says Michel.

When Meg is not surrounded by the game she loves, she finds joy in fellowship, fitness, and the outdoors, living out her faith in every moment. She strives to be the salt & light of the world (Matthew 5:13–16)—encouraging others, radiating hope and light, and letting God’s love guide everything she does.

    All Glory to Him!

  • About Dave

David Julien grew up in New York City, spending his younger years living in the South Bronx and Harlem. Always loving sports, he played varsity basketball at Chapel Field Christian High School in Pinebush, NY, just north of the city.

In 1998, David received a BA in psychology from Nyack College. He played four years of basketball and was inducted into the Nyack College hall of fame in 2005.

After college, David worked in several areas from being an assistant manager for Home Depot, to a frame production specialist for a military contractor. After teaching for ARC of Rockland and in the Newark Public Schools, he returned to Nyack College as an assistant coach and mentor for the men’s basketball program. Eventually, David became a financial aid counselor as well as the head women’s basketball coach for eight years.

David is passionate about volunteering at church and is his community. Through urban sports camps, Youth for Christ ministries, homeless projects and reading programs, he has been able to connect in a way that truly makes a difference.

While working with a multi-sport camp with FCA at Southeastern University – David was inspired. But he wondered why there weren’t any camps in the northeast. Eventually, he met Frank Reynoso at Nyack College and discovered that he and others were pioneering a new FCA presence in NY. Frank’s passion was contagious and it left a lasting impression on David. After losing his job at Nyack College, God connected their paths once more – and a new journey began.

As a coach, David understands the demands of a busy life and sees the need for balance in all things. To keep things in perspective, David values worship, a meaningful relationship with God, trust and sincere love for others. He believes that sports ministry is a powerful tool to contribute to the Kingdom of God which reverberates to families and communities.

David is excited about his NY FCA family and looks forward to playing a role in building a firm foundation that will sustain sports ministry in the Big Apple for years to come.

David and his wife Gina have three energetic boys. They live in the beautiful town of Congers, NY where Gina grew up. Of course, their family loves a variety of sports and tries to attend games on all levels. They enjoy visiting relatives on the island of Aruba where they take family vacations.
